It is a boon when nervous system gets under stress due to tension and sexual excesses. Worry and overwork sexual excesses < the symptoms. Urine is expelled in large quantities and is loaded with sugar, oxalates and phosphorus. Its ranking symptoms is Apathy-the patient fails to realize nor does not seem to care about his condition.
ARGENT NITRATE (30TH)
Seats of action of this remedy are nervous system and mucous membranes. Mental depression and apprehension are the ranking symptoms. Weakness of nervous manifests in the form of trembling. Mucous membrance of the stomach is affected most, giving rise to nausea, vomiting, tremulous weaknes, painful distension of abdomen, eructation of gas and burning sensation. Ravenous hunger and desire for sweets are the two symptoms found to be common in Argent and diabetes, and this drug cures them. There is profuse flow of urine, though percentage of sugar is quite low.
LYCOPODIUM (30TH)
It is useful in flatulency, gas formation in stomach and abdomen. Even after eating a little the patient has a sense of fullness if not while eating. The lips are dry. Mouth is also dry. Skin also dry, region of liver is painful, the stools are dry, hard and large. Urine is dark, scanty and loaded with sugar and uric acid crystals. There is uncontrollable sexual desire but without any erectile power but Lycopodium will restore such power and also satiate sexual hunger.
SYZYGIUM JAMBOLANUM (Q-5 DROPS, 3-4 TIMES DAILY)
This medicine is prepared from fruit obtained from the jambolin tree. It is considered to be an almost a specific medicine which contains sugar in urine and blood, Dr. Willain Boreicke eulogises,about this drug, in these words: “No other remedy causes in so marked degree the diminution of disappearance of sugar in the urine.” And further adds, it also curves. “Prickly heat in upper part of the body, small red pimples itch violently, Great thirst, weakness, emaciation, very large amount of urine. Specific gravity, high, old ulcers of the skin. Diabetic ulceration. The seeds powdered, ten grains three times a day, also the tincture.”
INSULIN (3X-30X)
Insulin is an aqueous solution and active principle from the pancreas which affects sugar metabolism. Legendary Dr.Boericke maintains, “Besides the use of insulin in the treatment of diabetes restoring the lost ability to oxidize carbohydrate and again storing glycogen in the liver, some use of it homeopathically has been made by Dr. W.F.Baker, showing its applicability in acne, carbuncles, erythema with itching eczema. In the gouty transitory glycosuria when skin manifestations are persistent, give three times daily, after eating. Give a persistent case of skin irritation, boils or varicose ulceration with polyuria,it is indicated.”
If administered at suitable intervals in diabetes mellitus, the blood sugar is maintained at a normal level and the urine remains free of sugar. “Overdosage is followed by weakness and fatigue and tremulousness and profuse sweating.” So, its dose must never be exceeded, rather, it should be tapered and unfrequented.
EQUISETUM (6, 30)
When there is profuse urination and is difficult to control and the patient has to rush and hurry to the closet, a few doses, at an interval of ever 10-11 minutes, can be given to control frequency and excessive quantity of urine.
URANIUM NITRATE (6, 30)
Drs. Hughes T.F.Allen, Jousset, Dickinson and host of other have got satisfactory results from the use of this medicine when there was sugar in urine and blood, appetite perverted, digestion out of order, gas in the stomach, dryness of skin and mucus membranes. It will cover most of the symptoms of the diabetics.
BIOCHEMIC COMBINATION NO-7 (6x)
This is a sort of combination of some useful and suitable salts which cover most of the diabetic symptoms. It has to be used in 6x potency and 4 tablets should be take 3-4 times daily for about 3-4 months, without a break. It will correct and rectify the ravages caused by onslaught of diabetic attack, restore normal functioning of heart, kidneys, brain, liver, blood and circulation in general, improve general state of health and restore normalcy but, quick results may not ensue.
NATRUM SULPH & NATRUM PHOS 6X
These two drugs are also inducted in biochemic combination No-7. Despite that, these are the two biochemic salts which specifically reduce sugar in urine and blood and also regulate and normalize urinary flow. They are to be taken combined (2 tabs each) 3-4 times daily and continued for 3-4 months or until improvement is noticed but should, later on, be tapered instead of suddenly stopping the medication.
