Infection Factor

TUBERCULOSIS:

According to Dr.M.D. siperstein, an unquestioned authority of diabetes, opines that “diabetics are no more susceptible to infection than other individuals” but despite this, a pseudo fear psychosis has been overtly or covertly, spread that diabetics are more susceptible to infections like inflammations relating to boils (called also carbuncles) than non-diabetics but it is a misplaced and unfounded myth. Even infection to tuberculosis (called earlier a killer disease) is now a misplaced and unfounded view. The diabetic complications do not cause T.B. but if T.B.was a complication prior to detection of diabetes, then it may create a few problems. Prior to discovery of anti-diabetic drugs and insulin, such apprehensions might have been true but now, all such apprehensions are totally baseless. In fact, various disciplines and new modes of treatment and medicines have greatly improved physical resistance to aforesaid complications prior to discovery of anti-diabetic drugs and insulin, such apprehensions might have been true but now, all such apprehensions though, rare exceptions cannot be ruled out but the fact remains that diabetic patients, being more cautious and careful, are far less exposed to all said and other infections. If a pre-existing, confirmed case of T.B. has no diabetic patients, being more cautious and careful, are far less exposed to all said and other infections. If a pre-existing, confirmed case of T.B. has no diabetic symptoms, he way not be infected with diabetes. Similarly, conversely, if a non-tubercular patient has diabetes, it should not be construed that, as a result of diabetes, he can have T.B., or else diabetes, can cause T.B.
